Kyle, age 5, is known as the family comedian.  When meeting new people he might appear shy, but within a few minutes of getting to know you he is “a real chatter box,” his family said. He has bright blue eyes and a smile that lights up the whole room. He loves trains and has three sets that he takes very good care of. His favorite game is Mahjong and he also loves chess. His mom told us that not one toy in his toy box is neglected and that he plays with each and every one.

Kyle had big plans for his special gift! He requested the new Lightening McQueen Powerwheels car, so he could take the wheel of the star of Disney’s newest movie; he took his family out to dinner at his favorite restaurant, the Olive Garden; and we were also able to get him gift cards to Target and Kohl’s so that he could pick out more toys and clothes that we know he put to good use.

Kyle is being treated at Central Dupage Hospital for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Although his family described the day of his diagnosis as the worst of their lives, they are amazed at Kyle’s courage and described it as that of a lion.
