Danielle’s Small Miracle: Sunday Night Magic in New England

danielle new england patriotsDanielle, a 19 year old senior, was on school vacation in April when her toes and fingers started to hurt and she began dealing with an ongoing headache. When she woke up one day with a fever and sore throat, she went to the doctors to test for strep and mono. The doctors soon called and told Danielle that her blood count was extremely low, and she eventually went to the hospital emergency room to undergo countless tests and blood draws which showed that she had ALL leukemia. Treatment followed right away, which made her life especially difficult for the first 3-4 months. However, Danielle was still able to attend her senior prom and walk across the stage at her graduation, two once-in-a-lifetime events that she didn’t want to miss. During this trying time Danielle was able to keep her spirits up and maintain a smile, appreciative of her opportunities and for the great people who helped her.

Over Danielle’s life she has accumulated a bucket list of people she would like to meet, things she would like to accomplish, and things she would like to do. As a huge New England Patriots fan, one of Danielle’s bucket list items was to see a live game live. When her parents told us this dream we arranged it right away, giving Danielle 2 Sunday night football club level tickets complete with pre-game field passes, transportation, and a tailgate party. It turned out to be a historic football game, and according to Danielle “one of the coolest experiences ever!” Danielle told us, “Thank you so much for making my dream of seeing the New England Patriots come true in such nice fashion. It was such an exciting experience for my mom and me!”

Danielle’s mom wanted to share this: “The work of Endure to Cure has meant a lot to our family. Thank you so much for your generous support. It makes our lives a lot easier and happier during this challenging time.”
