Collin’s New iPad!
Collin is a ten year old boy who has loved sports his whole life. His favorite team is “da’Bears” and he loves to play football. Prior to being diagnosed with cancer, he played a variety of sports ranging from baseball to golf. He is eager to be able to get out and play again. In the meantime, Collin is enjoying listening to country music, especially Tim McGraw, and playing video games.
When Collin was asked what he would like to help inspire him during his cancer treatments, he wasted very little time deciding and came to the conclusion that he wanted an iPad. His dad told us that he loves computers and the iPad would be a perfect gift for Collin to enjoy as he recovers. Upon receiving the iPad, he immediately began downloading lots of apps and never wanted to put it down!
Collin is being treated at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago for a brain tumor that took away his ability to eat and walk. His family is amazed at what a fighter Collin has been. Not only has he fought to be able to eat solid food again, but he has also regained the ability to walk and speak. His parents informed us that Collin has always kept his sense of humor and that everyone in the hospital enjoys his positive and fun loving attitude.
“Please know how much your gift has served to brighten Collin’s day and give him much additional pleasure.” ~Collin’s Mom
