This is to all of my friends, family and co-workers. I am asking you to take part in a very important cause. All of us have been affected by cancer in some way or another, and I am sure we have all felt that maybe we could do more to support this cause. Endure to Cure is focused on the fight against pediatric cancer and creating a better understanding of the affects this illness has on a child and providing the emotional and psychological support these children need.
Proceeds from my effort to run the 2011 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will go towards my team and I fully funding a pediatric cancer survivorship study at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital to research methods to reduce the long-term effects of treatment on pediatric cancer patients. For all the details of the study, please

So why this is study important? 60% of pediatric cancer patients suffer long term side effects, often times severe. This is a very underfunded and under-examined area of study. This study can have an immediate impact with patients the psychologist examines, and a long-term effect as more data can be used to put new post-survivorship treatment methods into place.
I am running at the least 52.4 official miles for this cause not including the hundreds of unofficial miles I plan to endure to accomplish my goal. This in no way matches what these children endure daily. I am asking you to support me in my efforts so that we can contribute to the physical and mental well being of these families. No donation is too small because its a donation from the heart!
Thank you,
Nicole Alexander
