Overcoming obstacles recently became the new theme for my life. If someone would have tried to predict what I was about to go through almost two years ago, I would have looked at them like their crazy! Especially since life is to short; but when your face to face with an illness which can shorten your life, you realize how precious life becomes. Who ever truly wants to believe when a doctor tells you have cancer. All you feel is what did I ever do wrong or why me? Then you have your own stages of denial and not wanting to believe a word you've heard.
Unfortunately, the denal stage never truly leave you; you wake up many nights/days thinking it was just a nightmare. But than you have to realize you have choices you have to make and only you can make them. Your family and friends will be their for you to help you thru every step but it comes down to you having the will and desire to fight. The fight is a long grueling battle of multiple drug cocktails, surgeries, pain… and the list keeps going on! No on can ever tell you want to expect or how your going to feel or react, you are you and everyone reacts differently to how you handle what's been handed to you!
