My Events

  • May 19, 2012: Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim Run

I believe that they had to bring me down to nothing to realize that everything is possible.

I think I was drawn to endurance sporting events as a way to fulfill the emptiness in my life. At the time, I was in a great deal of emotional pain and needed something big, something all consuming to devote my energy to. I chose ironman. It worked, it gave me something big to focus on and something big to achieve, as well as taking my mind off of the other emotional burdens I was going through. I have since done three ironman competitions and won a lottery slot to fulfill one of my lifelong dreams to compete in the ironman world championships in Hawaii. I am incredibly blessed to have the health to do these events and after taking a few months off, I'm ready to hit another goal. This year my plan is to run the grand canyon rim to rim to rim with a group of friends I met in my ironman travels. I'm so excited to have this opportunity and am excited to raise money for Endure to Cure to help children with cancer. In my lead up to this event, I will be competing in the Bandera 50K and a few other Texas races. Please consider donating to this wonderful cause! Thank you very much and God Bless!
