I believe cancer can be a curable and preventable disease.  However, until we reach that milestone, we must learn not only to endure it, but also to learn from it.  I’ve joined E2C to provide a way for my fitness journey and endurance to benefit someone besides me and those around me.

 

But my efforts are not about me.  They are about contributing to an important pediatric cancer survivorship study conducted by the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital.  60% of pediatric cancer patients suffer long term side effects, often times severe.  This is a very underfunded and under-examined area of study.  For this research study, we as a collective team are looking to fund for the hospital can have an immediate impact with patients the psychologist examines, and a long-term effect as more data can be used to put new post-survivorship treatment methods into place.

 

With your support we can help many people live with the aftermath of cancer until we can discover the cure.
