I believe everything is possible. Even when you face something you think is impossible, it is just your mind playing games with you.
My grandfather died from cancer when I was 19. "Lolo" is the name by which I remember him. Lolo became my main father figure after my own father passed away when I was 5. After many years, I was living in the US when Lolo died and still today, it pains me that I never got to say goodbye. A very close friend to my family, Carmencita, also died from cancer. She was a true angel and an excellent person. And even more recently, a friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer. He is very young but he seems to be fighting it well and winning. I have been amazed by the way he handled it and the positive attitude he had, even in the worse moments. That was really inspiring to me.
I am healthy and I want to enjoy life at its fullest expression. I enjoy running outdoors, biking and swimming and feel the adrenaline of a killing work out. I want to participate in endurance sports and collaborate with this foundation as much as I can. I have always enjoyed pushing myself beyond my limits and once learning about Endure to Cure and talking to the founder, Jason Sissel, I have become inspired to make a positive difference with my effort.
After a major back injury several years ago and for a very long time I was unable to work out. I gained lots of weight and in June of 2009 I weight 245lbs (111kg). I have decided to use my higher purpose of helping kids with cancer while correcting my weight problem AND doing two long endurance events beyond any distance I’ve ever gone. In 2010, I plan to do a half Ironman and a full Ironman in Japan. I am asking for your support because I cannot do this alone!! Please help by making a contribution and no size is too small.
Thank you very much!
