Thank you for visiting my page!
After hip surgery on November 7, 2011, I plan on a speedy but smart recovery and triumphant return to my endurance racing! I have completed an Ironman and half Ironman in the past. My goal is to do another of each race, this time breaking 13 and five hours, respectively.
These upcoming races are devoted to raising money for Endure to Cure, an amazing project that raises funds for the fight against pediatric cancer. My effort specifically will be channeled to help E2C fund small miracles for children who are undergoing harsh cancer treatments in my local area hospital. These small miracles are customized experiences–the small yet ever-important “wishes” of a child that cost generally approximately $500 each–that brightens their life while going through cancer treatment.. Please check out the homepage and see how sensational this non-profit organization really is and read some examples of small miracles we have already funded!
The training and racing effort pales in comparison to the struggles that children diagnosed with cancer (12,500 each year) go through. One in five children who is diagnosed with cancer dies, and pediatric cancer research is consistently under funded! I need your help to reach my fund-raising goals. By clicking on the donate button on this page you can make a tax-deductible contribution online. Please keep in mind that NO CONTRIBUTION IS TOO SMALL! Anything you can contribute is significant to the cause and well appreciated.
Getting back on the train has been a little painful, but I will undoubtedly push through keeping in mind the higher cause that I am racing for. I graciously thank you for your support and generosity!
